I've been an Elvis fan since I was 5 years old. That's when I first saw him on his 1968 Comeback TV Special. The first songs I learned were Elvis songs. I was one of the lucky ones who saw him in concert. My Mother took me to his show at the Orlando Sports Stadium when I was 13. I was already a huge fan by then and performing Elvis songs .

I did an Elvis tribute as a part of my show for many years, and I finally retired the jumpsuit after my house gig at Church Street Station ended in 1993. I was never really an "Elvis Impersonator", but rather just a big fan who enjoyed singing his songs and playing dress-up in the jumpsuits. In fact, Elvis was just a small part of my show, but it was the part that everyone always waited for, and I always enjoyed it. I brought the "Ricky King" show back in 2002 for Elvis's 25th Anniversary, again in 2009 @ The Cheyenne Saloon, and a final time in 2012, when I then passed the torch to my five year old son, Albert.
Alas, "Ricky King" has finally left the building.....Thank you, thankyaverymuch!
